An Act Establishing An Exemption For Seniors From Proposition 2 ½ Overrides
This bill will give senior citizens the option of going into an agreement with the city or town of which they reside to defer any increase in property taxes at the age of 65. The deferred increase would accrue an interest rate of 4% and has no income limitations to qualify.
